The Amadour Hotel is a residence situated in the heights of Rocamadour, a medieval village in the Lot department, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This village, nestled on the cliff side and overlooking the Alzou canyon, will transport you back through the ages. The 12th-century sanctuaries and Notre Dame chapel, some of the pilgrimage shrines in the Midi-Pyrénées region, are well worth a visit and just a short walk away from the hotel, as is the Rocamadour Château, its fortifications and its ruins, which date back to the 14th century.
Just a few metres from the hotel, you will find shops and restaurants to enjoy during your stay. In the evening, discover the illuminated night-time Rocamadour aboard the little tourist train, and take a trip to the Côté Rocher cafe-theatre. This village is the ideal holiday destination thanks to its many nearby tourist attractions, such as the impressive Padirac Chasm and others caves, its regional gastronomy, quality of life, and sports entertainment and annual events.
